If this is how the draft played out, I would hope that we would first attempt to move up to #6/7 for Hezonja. I would be willing to give up Burke/#12/GSW 1st/OKC 1st (+ 2nd rd picks if necessary- although I'm not sure that gets it done). If not I would go with Turner, despite not being a great fit, as I see him as having the best long-term potential & a chance at becoming a significant trade asset in the future. The only other considerations, imo, should be Payne or Kaminsky. As much as I would prefer to replace Burke with a vet PG, Payne should be considered simply due to the fact that, unlike Turner & Kaminsky, he actually has the potential to eventually become a starter as Exum has the ability to play SG. As far as Kaminsky, while Turner clearly has the higher ceiling, Frank has to be considered because he is a near perfect fit offensively along with Favors & Gobert.

In the end, I think it will come down to just how close the FO believes we are to legitimately competing & due to the fact that Exum is at least a year or two away from being ready to contribute to a championship caliber team, I think we will draft someone who has the potential to either start in the future (Payne) or become a major trade chip (Turner). I wouldn't be upset if we went with Kaminsky, as he not only fills a need but is also a great fit (even tho his upside is somewhat limited in comparison to the average lottery pick), so long as we shifted our focus to legitimately contending in the short term (which I don't believe would be the right move considering our current roster). I voted Turner but I think Payne will get serious consideration as I think the FO is aiming high in regards to our future starting 5 & would prefer to add one more potential high-level starter to compete with Hood for that last spot (assuming Exum pans out) & use whoever doesn't start as our 6th man scoring punch off of the bench (which is why Hezonja is such a great fit, although Payne would provide insurance in the event that Exum doesn't develop as expected).

This was a tough one for me.

Looney is the best fit, IMO, but Turner probably has the most potential, so I went with him. However, I don't really expect Turner to be available at #12, and think there's a good chance we go with Looney in that situation (obviously depending on who else is there; maybe we'd take Booker ahead of him).

I like Turner, Looney, Kaminsky. And Portis. And Johnson.

I don't know about the foreign guys (Hezonja, Porzingis). So I'm against trading up for one of them. I mean, if I had my pick of all these guys I'm not sure who I'd take. Some on here are certain that Hezonja or Porz are worth trading up for, but Turner's upside is pretty high I'm not sure I'd take them before him.

I wonder if people's opinions are being influenced by various mocks. We all know it's a crap shoot. Jimmy Butler was drafted 30th. Same year Derrick Williams went 2nd, Kanter went 3rd. Jan Vesely was 6th, Biyombo was 7th.

Given that all the analytics love Looney I wonder if he's this year's Jimmy Butler.

I've been the most consistent and vocal Looney supporter. I'd be very happy if we pick him.
