JazzFanz Newz - franklin setting him self up to win this.

He hasn't improved; the play at point guard has.

This^^^^

With the amount paid to ordinary or bad players, it AMAZES me that a guy like Tom Thibodeau only costs about $6 million per year.

Go get an elite coach and pay him what he wants. It will be worth the investment. The Jazz finally have a PG who can lead. The key is to get a coach to go along with that.

Can someone please quantify/qualify what is supposed to be considered an "elite coach"? I'll hang up and listen. Thanks.

An elite coach is a guy who can get the most of his talent and is capable of winning a championship under the right circumstances. Many of the qualities that an elite coach has are subjective. They can't be quantified. They have a clear vision of their team and how to win at a high level. They have excellent communication skills. They have a high IQ of their sport and an innovative approach to some key aspect of team building and/or play. They can motivate, teach and develop their players. They are leaders.

I've been a football coach for over half my life. I've seen good and bad coaches up close and personal. I love going up against a team that has weak coaches. I know that we've won the game long before we get on the field. Elite coaches can make the sum of the team better than the parts of individual players. I don't see those skills in Ty Corbin. I have seen them in Doc Rivers and Greg Popovich. I see potential for those skills to be found in Tom Thibodeau, Frank Vogel and Brad Stevens (albeit at a lower level of competition).

Did that answer your question?

The fact that Biedrins' *** is permanently stuck to the bench tells me Corbin has improved "a little". C'mon you gotta admit that. The Corbin of old, from the previous 3 years, would have been playing Biedrins 25-30 minutes a game, with Favors/Kanter on the bench picking their noses. Amirite? Look, I'm not trying to go "franklin" on you guys, I still want him gone after this season, but I can acknowledge that Corbin has made slight improvements in his coaching this season.

Corbin aint improved, Im sure his coaching philosophy still revolves around loosening the tie for an in game adjustment, playing vets, and thinking "Lets go guys!" Is masterful words of coaching a team.
