What's new

Jazzfanz spilling the love for Corbin last night!!!

One good PRESEASON game by the Jazz and suddenly Corbin is a genius...nevermind the prior 180+ games where he looked completely lost on the sideline. Jazzfanz are so forgiving.

Clearly a decent performance against a VERY disinterested visiting team in our first pre-season game of the year proves beyond any reasonable doubt that Corbin has all along been the second coming of Sloan, Pop, and Jackson all squished into one quivering mass.

Clearly.

You're talking about performance like a typical casual fan. Not what the thread is about, but it's hard to be analytical and relate from a higher plane down lower to those uninterested in details. Troll on haterz!

Dude, Go Bear almost fouled out like 10 minutes... clearly needs some getting used to the NBA game. Also, Biedrins didn't play too badly. It does suck that we are playing another player that will be gone next offseason.

Then he fouls out. Sign Mcguire and play him over Brickins. I just see no value in playing him.

For those having a hard time following along.

Casual Fan = Does not agree with Franklin

Higher Plane = Agrees with Franklin

Remember, those on the higher plane don't want anyone to disagree as it means they may have to challenge their assumptions and think critically about their position. Ignorance is bliss.

I do not believe in Corbin. It's good to see youngsters performing well but no need to overreact about a preseason game. This team will surprise lots of fans in positive way while beating favourites and beaten by garbage teams. Kanter's gotta use more ball on offense and spacing should be better for sure. Also, need to wait to see tactics when it's matter before making decision.

There is huge value in playing all the 3 boys we got from GS....

If any prove they still got game they become huge trading piece at the trade deadline...

I'm not saying give them huge minutes, but somewhere between 10-15 a night!!

Guess I am in the minority. I see plenty of value in, on court, Jefferson and Rush. None in Biedrins.

Come on zulu, you are better than this.

What happened with our free agents from last year at the trade deadline after "showcasing" them all year?
Big fat zero, that's what.

We are not going to get anything at the deadline for biedrins or jefferson this year either.
Play gobert

Also, there is huge value in playing our young draft picks WHO WILL ACTUALLY BE WITH THE TEAM NEXT YEAR too

Ahh, more rhetoric. Strawman, correlation fallacy, character assassination, Ivory Tower fallacy... You clearly have no problems getting snarky and slandering anyone who doesn't fall in line with you. It's practically your first response to everything. Your Corbin hate must run deep.

"They pose as having discovered and attained their real opinions through the self-evolution of a cold, pure, divinely unperturbed dialectic (in contrast to the mystics of every rank, who are more honest and more stupid than they are - these speak of 'inspiration') : while what happens at the bottom is that a prejudice, a notion, an 'inspiration', generally a desire of the heart sifted and made abstract, is defended by them with reasons sought after the event." Play gobert

There is 96 minutes between PF and C... If Favors plays 35 and Kanter plays 33... That leaves 28 minutes for Evans Beidrens and Gobert.... Roughly 9 minutes each...

Actually I was taking a page from your playbook. I have an intense aversion to people who make finalized claims based on limited, incomplete, or incorrect information. e.g. Trey is ROY (as if it is a foregone conclusion), or Corbin did everything exactly right with the young guys (although there are plenty of reason to doubt the way he has handled the team and the development of the young players). You tend to mix you opinion with insults, usually of the causal nature (as in, if you don't agree, you are a "casual fan", ergo your opinion doesn't matter).

Personally I think Corbin has been just ok. I do not think he handled the development of the young guys optimally, but I have also stated that I understand his playing time decisions over the past few seasons based on the teams we had and the "win now" mandate as we had lots of money tied up in those guys. I also think he is behind the curve as an x's and o's coach, of which I believe Nate has a sig that shows an anecdotal example. I think he has a new team now and he may surprise us in what he is able to accomplish. I do not think he should be fired outright, but he also should not be untouchable. I think they should draw a line in the sand.

I just like arguing the counterpoint to fanatics who deal in absolutes.

"I love how Hayward has developed into a distributor. 8 assists!" Ty, thank you so much for bringing Hayward along all last season when he couldn't run the pnr worth crap. Thank you for sticking by his side and instilling confidence in him. Your leadership has obviously paid off!

"I love the offense last night. So much more movement!" Thank you Ty for having the patience with these young guys and not scrapping Sloan's flex system like every other spineless organization would have. You're obviously a master of Sloan's system, and have some nice new wrinkles of your own.

"I love the rotation moves with Evans, and dare I say it even bringing in Biedrins for some short burn." Corbin really game planned minutes to perfection. Well rounded scoring too -- 101 points with a scoring high of only 16, and 6 players in double figures.

"I love this defense!" Corbin has gotten this team to buy into his system. They're making perfect rotation help plays and hustling all game long. Thank you, Ty, you are a genius.

"I love how Burks is playing." Isn't it great that Corbin brought him along slowly and taught him how to play instead of letting him bust early like most organizations would have?

Are you a family member of Ty? You could have waited at least for the first real game. I agree Jazz fans have been too harsh and impatient with Ty but it always amazes me how some fans love to remind other fans when they are wrong especially when the jury is still out.. I just realized this was a post by Franklin.. never mind.

I for one am interested to see how Ty does this year. I think it is make or break for him.

My favorite part of the night was watching Corbin melt down because the clock wasn't working right. As if stomping his foot and yelling is going to change anything. Ty should be judged this year on how he develops the youngsters. If he holds back their development because he loves the vets, he will go down in flames.

If this is true then why did you enter a thread about last nights coaching and the positive commentary that flooded the board with your negative and destructive, ill-mannered rhetorical attack instead of taking issue with the game content that was being enjoyed?

That's quite the dishonest rhetorical attack and you know it. You can't honestly be blaming me for writing that off.

BTW, the Trey ROY stuff is all in fun. I'm sure it's getting out of hand though and some insta-bans will get handed out soon.

I'm watching you Wizowski...always watching...

I think Corbin did fine last night. I am encouraged.

I think Corbin was upset becuase the clock was set to 14 seconds, when the Jazz were no more than 5 seconds into their 24-second possession when the refs stopped the play.

It was cuz we were out and running and had to stop cuz of the clock, then yeah got screwed with the 14 sec thing too.

dat jazzfanz.com mobile app doe

Also did anyone notice that on the next possession the warriors got out running and the stop clock didn't work, but the refs didn't stop the game and let the warriors score 2 points.
