If I remember correctly, after DWill was traded last year, Big Al went on a scoring spree. And we lost most of those games. And if I remember correctly, Big Al scored plenty for the T-Wolves. And they lost most of their games. As Harris recently said in an interview, the Jazz have plenty of scorers, and they showed that last night, and that was with an off-night by Millsap. This team has all the ingredients to become an athletic team with an offense based on ball movement and a defense based on tight rotations and consistent rebounding. Stick Big Al in that sauce and those ingredients become stagnant. He's a great guy and an offensive talent; he just needs to be on a different team that suits his skills better.

I agree. If Al was there, instead of pick and rolls with Hayward and Favors, we would've dumped the ball into Big Al and watch him maybe make a shot, maybe not. I just don't feel comfortable relying on Big Al for offense, not because he's not capable of occasionally delivering, but because no one else gets involved, plus it decreases opportunities for rebounding, as guys are mostly stuck on the perimeter. With PnRs, guys are slashing to the basket, moving, in position for offensive rebounds.

I think we can and should get better for Big Al and Harris. I also don't think we should trade Harris, yet. I like the idea of trading straight up for Iggy better, or someone else's idea of a 3 team trade with Philly and Houston. Though I don't think Philly would take Kevin Martin since they already have Evan Turner and want to develop him; they might rather have Jordan Hill to replace Iggy's defense. So if the salaries match up, Big Al to Houston, Jordan Hill and maybe someone else to Philly, Iggy to Utah. And maybe some 1st and 2nd round draft picks included. Make it happen KOC!

Finally! Someone who really gets it.

Al being in the game changes all sorts of dynamics in the game.

Al not running any pick and rolls really hurts our team. His standing around just gets in the way.
How is it that some of these so called professionals can't run the pick and roll? Or don't know why they should be doing it?

Al's problem is that he is terribly slow on offense and defense. The entire offense stops moving when Al has the ball. He can put up some points, but will also give up as many points or more to the opposing player he guards. It's a shame cause he's a really nice guy (unlike Boozer), but I highly doubt he will accept a bench position. Good luck to you Al, but I hope your time in Utah is done. Maybe he'll excel on a different and older team.
