Look yo, hopper and even CJ speak from a platform of high intelligence. It's mostly just a lack of comprehension (this is no slight that most people can't get past their 'personas' on this here board and read their words for what they're really saying.
Just cause they wrap their knowledge up in some sort of thing.. you have to just stop hating. For example, CJ hates "hoppers", not because they're black or 'hood' or whatever, but because of their general disrespect, their attitude, their ego.. skin color has NOTHING to do with it. White people, black people, asian people.. just because you read the words and associate it with a certain race.. well that is just on you as a person. The term "hopper" in these circumstances is meant to connotate a Lebron James type of attitude.. a sense of entitlement, a reckless form of basketball which does not result in wins, or ever good basketball. It comes down to positivity, zen, etc. If people are on board, not about showboating.. that's all they want, you know?
Of the players listed for not getting along with Sloan.. where are they now? I see the points being made.. if Sloan had been better equipped to deal with such players, could they potentially have had success? Did Sloan destroy their confidence? ..but since we know such players, how high were their celings in reality? AK, for example, was a stellar and unique force. But was he every truly a star? Let me put it this way... who has had more success, Sloan or AK? His method's might not be for all, but it seems a whole organization trusts in him. The Utah Jazz have had a ****-ton of success. How up and down would it be with a different coach?
You could argue it was simply a battle of power. What if KOC and the Miller's (who are..the powers that be) decided that Arroyo was the answer, and their non-getting-along was Sloan's fault, and that he screwed it up enough to be removed. Look at our star.. one of the best player's my generation of basketball viewers will see, D-will. He had his scuffles with Sloan, but guess what? D-will's intelligence, the same thing that allows him to be soo good on the court, convinced him to rise above it, to get with the program, and now look... where is he now? D-will fought Sloan for a year. Sloan fought D-will for a year. But now they work together. The 2 best minds on the court work together, why? Because its the most constructive and the best way to get it done.
