What's new

Jerel McNeal

And just to clarify to people who are momentarily confused like I was, the first year of the three year deal was last season, not three more. So starting today it is two nonguaranteed years.

We need to have a Marquette alumni team. We need to get Wesley back and sign Lazar Hayward who was a 2010 first round pick and played in the DLeague last year.

I think he has a good chance of sticking this year. We need so many players. But he will need to show something to be here for his 3rd year.

Having him on the team almost guarantees that Tinsley and Watson are as good as gone.

Tinsley deserves a spot on this squad, the only reason not is if we take 2 pgs in the draft

remember that game we massacred OKC... i dont think anyone was saying 'let tinsley go' in that game thread

Agreed. Tinsley is a really good inexpensive option for us. When he was starting, we went 17-11 or something like that. I don't think anyone in this draft is ready to start, and Tinsley has some great distributing skills that he could teach Schroeder (fingers crossed). Plus, if we are tanking next season, I'd at least like the games to be somewhat fun to watch. Who wouldn't want to see more halfcourt alley oops with Tinsley and Evans?

Watson, however, is unbearable to watch. Same with Mo.

Ok, Tinsley would be a good guy for the youngs to learn from. You know, there is an open coaching spot...
I'm ok with Tinsley sticking as the 3rd PG. I just don't want to see a guy on his last legs take minutes away from anyone we draft or bring in as a FA. If Schroder is our pick, he needs to play 25 mins from the outset. Give Burks 10 mins so he can eventually be either a combo guard off the bench or an emergency 3rd PG. That leaves 13 mins for the Jazz to develop a backup PG.
