For some reason I was thinking he was like 21-22ish? Probably cause he looks like he's 16. Im starting to think he won't develop into nothing more than a few highlight clips. Him being 25 years old I cant see him adding much more to his game. Also with him being older his athleticism has very well peaked and could be declining.

Anyway I'm still shocked he's 25. Crazy. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Yea because 25 years old is so old. There are plenty of guys who developed their games throughout their careers. Now if he were 35 I would agree with you.

I think he'll have at least a few more years before his athleticism starts to decline. Hopefully he'll develop his game in the meantime.

Most players don't develop their game at that age, though. And Evans won't. He's Ronnie Price; an athletic and relentless competitor that doesn't have the requisite ability to stay on the floor but is EXCELLENT in a pinch and/or as a 3rd stringer (a HUGE part of that has to do with their own egos and how well they get along with others).

I don't think he was on anyone else's radar other than the Jazz. He is so one dimensional but OH what a dimension. I agree though that he is near at his peak. He will probably get a bit better, at least become a complete player before the end of his career, but I doubt he ever starts regularly. And that's ok, he fits that role well.

Yea but with him being 25 I would say he's not a player that has much 'upside" or "potential" like say we do with Favors and Kanter. For most players 25 and older very rarely does a player take a huge leap in development.

In the sports world 25 is when people are beginning to enter their primes. I think Evans will never be much more than he is now. I am talking Evans specifically not every 25 year old.

He was a Senior when drafted right?

The thing you like about Evans is he sparks/quiets the crowd with amazing plays. It is important to have a guy like that play a few minutes a game to give this Jazz team a spark. He is just the right age at 25 to be in his prime and just create a little excitement for the team.

Correct.

He's still a guy that will always fill a very important role as I think the Jazz build towards contention.
Look at OKC.... Nick Collison fills his role of a 10 minute per game rebounder and decent defender.
Evans will fill the role of hustler, possible elite shot blocker, ally-oop specialist, and human highlight real.

Evans' value could be in becoming an elite defensive player. His offense may only ever be dunking, but if he can use his natural skills for defense, then he can make a difference and stay on the floor. I could see him potentially being able to guard the 2,3, and 4 position because of his length, hops, and foot speed. His energy is there, now he just has to learn opponents' tendencies. I think his ceiling could be Tony Allen, if he focuses on that end of the court.

-<snicker>- he's under 200 pounds, he gets pushed around like a rag doll, he is not and will never be an elite defensive player.
