Oh god!! Another idiot with no reading comp. skills. 99.9% of his time on the court is against other players that aren't good enough to be in their teams rotations because they suck, also garbage Tim ball is meaningless basketball, and usually resembles street ball. If he played against rotation players every game he'd get killed, and due to his slight frame, he'd spend even more time injured then AK did with us.

Wow. You are a jerk.
You don't know he would get killed game in and game out. To say this is just brash. Let him get some time against solid players then. and i'd recommend checking out the golden rule :D

Look at him.... He's 6-9 196lb's. What the hell do you think will happen? Idiot!

And Muggsy was 5'3 a buck 40... he managed alright against players much bigger than him. AK played the 4 very well, infact that was his best position and he only weighed like 205 when he came into the league. He made up with for the lack of weigth with...? yeah... length, hops and quickness. wait, let me guess, AK is an exception for some reason. go ahead. continue your gracelss rant.

Idiot.....

AK came into the league about ten pounds bigger then Evans, and still came in as a sf. He didn't start playing pf till he put weight on. Today he is a good 25 lb's bigger then Evans, and still has problems with injury and getting tossed around both offensively and defensively, and I contend today that had he been stronger he'd have lived up to his contract he signed in Utah.

Idiot......

Dude, your facts are all wrong. The year AK made the Allstar team, 2003-2004 season, he played PF. Harpring started SF that year. AK did not get up to 220 pounds until 2008.

He came into the league around 205-210

What kind of time do you need to know if he can be a rotation player as the 4th big. He's 6-9 196 lb's. If he played Kanter's minutes on a nightly basis, teams would go at him with their pf's every play and he'd get killed on post up defense, he'd mak Millsap look like Shaq in the post. Why do you think he still can't crack the rotation after three years.

I think that a good coach could hide his size issues by playing some zone or something else creative.
Also, why are you being such a dick?

He hasn't shown enough to me that he can be a rotation player, but at the same time, he hasn't been given enough minutes to demonstrate this.

This is probably the best post of the thread.
Anyone who says he CANT be in the rotation really doesn't know because he has never had the opportunity.
Personally I think you could play him 15 minutes per game against the right teams.... seems like a lot of teams are going smaller more often and in those situations he would be just fine.
Like a game last week when denver was using wilson chandler or gallinari at the 4.

Sup.

That was crazy!!

AK's weight issues was not as bad as Evans. Even then he was at least 15 lb's bigger and 100 times more skilled.

In the 2003 season, Ak did weigh a 10-15 pounds more than Evans weighs now and he is more skilled, but as long as Evans is only seeing other 3rd and 4th bigs and he is playing 15-20 mintues a night, i think he stands a good chance of making the rotation, as long as he can knock down the mid range J.

Gotta give props to Hack..

I think Evans should be given an opportunity next year and then decide his future!!

How is he going to last playing every night against guys 40 to 60 lb's bigger then him on average?

If he's going to get a shot it needs to be at sf playing like the jazz do when Millsap slides to sf from time to time.

Kevin Durant enter the NBA with the same questions about him..

Also, like I said before.... teams go smaller a lot now.... there players like rashard lewis, and ryan anderson that play the power forward position now. He wouldn't be going against blake griffin and pau gasol every night.... plus as a 3rd or 4th big, he would go against backups

Wilson chandler is playing power forward against the jazz right now.... I don't think he would back down evans in the post for scores

Maybe not, but he would overpower on drives with strength and speed.

Evans would swat the hell out of chandler and then dunk on him on the other end:)
