A great yellow hope, a sex symbol, a point god, a real hero. Jeremy Lin

as always, we are outplayed at the guard positions... every freakin' bench player in the league is better than any starter at the one, two and three position on the jazz... it's ridiculous. harris, you got payed 10 mio dollars to give a freakin' effort. jefferson, you get 15 mio dollars to get outrebounded on every single position? what about boxing out? we're heading in a wrong direction and no way we make the playoff this year. i'm not pessimistic, i'm realistic. that's the reality, like it or not. we have to upgrade the pg position immediately!

All joking aside, I remember being impressed by what he did in the Vegas summer league last year.

Lin averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 18.6 minutes per game and shot a team leading 54.5% from the floor.

"John Wall earned a huge ovation from the crowd at Cox Pavilion during introductions Thursday night, easily the biggest cheer for any of the Wizards or Mavericks players. By the end of the game, the crowd had turned on Wall and was cheering for Dallas's Jeremy Lin, the undrafted point guard out of Harvard who scored nine fourth-quarter points."

I think this kid has a future.

The Jazz could have picked up Lin for nothing about a month ago as he was toiling in the DLeague after playing for Golden State last year. Would you rather have him or Harris right now?

Yep, I remember that. I thought he was going to be a nice story in the NBA, then he started to get waive by I think 3 different teams? I guess he always ended up being the odd man out for a team without enough roster space trying to sign a proven player. Looks like he has stuck though. He should be an All-Star every year once the Chinese learn about this guy.

The guy is an American citizen. I saw him in the summer league and liked him a lot. I was hoping the Jazz would take a look at him when GS cut him but they already have three PGs. I thought he was amazing and was shocked he had so many turnovers because it didn't seem like it. The Garden was alive last night.

i think he has 3 passports, one taiwanese, one american and one chinese.

Somebody has a crush on Ryan Gosling, me thinks. He is pretty hunky, though, I guess.

I've liked Lin for a long time, but I don't ANYONE saw anything like what has happened over the last two games happen for him. Speaks volumes about the quality of the kid.

I actually love both of them. Lin is for NBA and Gosling is for movies. Ryan Gosling is a great actor and his movie Drive is really great. It only got a single 2012 Oscar nomination for sound editing, the Ryan Gosling existential action movie “Drive” has some film experts up in arms over the insufficient consideration. However, car buffs who have seen the film know that Gosling's character Driver is driving no faceless post-muscle era car, but a 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle. In honor of “Drive” and the Chevrolet Chevelle, here are the top five models in the line's history, courtesy of Bold Ride. Article resource: Go for a 'Drive' in the top 5 Chevrolet Chevelles.

Jeez, we have racism and metro in the same post!

Little rant here: I am so tired of hearing about Lin being Chinese/Taiwanese/Asian and all of that. As has already been posted, he is an American born citizen in the melting pot that we all call home. Oh, and by the way, not even THAT matters! He is a human being playing for the NBA and has finally found a team/system that works for his game. There are tons of people of varying backgrounds in the NBA, Raja's from the Virgin Islands, but I don't hear much about that. Who gives a rats parts about where his grandparents came from? Even if he was born in Taiwan, who cares? His story isn't much different from Matthews, and his game isn't that much better either. Yes, he's good, so is Matthews. Great story, not drafted, made a team because of injury or ineptitude of the other players on the team, and had a coming out party. The only significant difference is his race which only makes a difference if the person talking about it is RACIST.
