Jerry Sloan Defends Tyrone Corbin

Sloan Really wants to see Corbin Succeed. I really respect Sloan for this reason. He's bereft of Guile. What should we make of Sloan Defending Corbin. Discuss.

He knows Ty doesn't have "it" and with a good tanking job he can have the No. 1 pick and enough cap space to have players that will contend for a championship and Ty is out of the way.

This thread is shaping up to be a cold beer on a hot summer day..

Or a hot cocoa on a chilly winter day for the momos.

Are you really this slow?

Who do you think hired Corbin? Who gave his full endorsement to Corbin when he retired?

Said to noone in particular, of course.

Listening to Jerry, I'm not sure where he is at. He reminds me so much of my stubborn farmer grandpa who had to be lifted on and off the tractor but refused to quit farming. I have alot of respect and admiration for my grandpa and Jerry. and because I respect Jerry i want to delicately say something, perhaps if I use some Jerry like euphemisms---

I don't think all the cows make it back to the barn at night.

The tractors driving but the plow blades are only down part of the time.

The gate is up but there is a hole in the fence.

The udder is drying up.

I miss you grandpa, and God bless you Jerry.

Jerry has always had a soft spot for the less talented guys who tried hard: Milt Palacio, Adam Keefe, and quite a few others. Ty fits that bill also. Ole Jer will back him to the hilt. Look for at least 3 to 4 more years of a coach with training wheels and little NBA-caliber ability.

It is Jerry being loyal as Jerry is. I am more inclined with the PR campaign line of thinking though.

Aren't the Jazz so nice. They are gonna stick with Ty even if it takes 30 years to get it right. Yay!
