Michael Irvin called Belichick the best coach of all-time. (Link) Really Irvin? Best of all-time? I'm pretty sure the best coach of all-time would have beat the Jets at home in the playoffs. Belichick is a known cheater, and not even close to the title of best of all-time. I would put Bill Walsh way ahead of Belichick on that list.

Belichik has five rings, three as a head coach and two as a defensive coordinator. He also lost another as a head coach. It's not ridiculous at all to say he's the best of all-time. Do I think so? No. But it's not far-fetched.

Those three Super Bowls have an asterisk next to them for cheating. A known cheater cannot be considered the best of all-time. Has Belichick won a Super Bowl since he was caught cheating? No. Bill Walsh also won three Super Bowls as a head coach, and was an innovative genius on offense. Bill Walsh got it done without cheating. Belichick isn't in the same company as Bill Walsh. Belichick will always be remembered as a cheater.
Pete Rose will always be the best hitter of all time, Bonds the greatest HR hitter of all time, and Brock Lesner will always have fans. Cheaters always win.

The Jets have how many big name players? They're the Miami Heat of the league with Portland's Paul Allen's money.
Other than Thomas Brady, can here name another player let alone defensive player for the Pats?

The Hoodie is everything that Jerry Sloan wishes he could be. A coach that wins championships with a bunch of players that no one has ever heard of.
I can understand wanting to put an asterisk for cheating and for that dumb ruling that gave them a win over the Raiders in the snowbowl. But just the mere fact that they're in the playoffs competing every year with a bunch of no name scrubs is an amazing feat all by itself. Winning Championships? Incredible.
