Jets vs. Patriots

Wouldn't batting average be a better stat to deduct who was the better hitter? C'mon Trout, lay off the fail.

So, would you rather have Pete Rose, or Tony Gwynn? I don't know about you, but I'll take Rose. Ty Cobb has the highest batting average of all time, and I doubt many people would choose him as their 1st pick as all time best hitter.

More would take Cobb than Rose. Rose was a very good player, but the hit record is more about him playing 25 years than for being the best hitter. My personal choice is Ted Williams.

So, my point stands -- Best hitter doesn't automatically = best average. I'd rather have Rose than Williams, and I love Ted.

Seconded. Either him or Stan Musial. Also, after reading about Cobb, I would put him further down the list just for being such an all-around-douche.

Michael Irvin called Belichick the best coach of all-time. (Link) Really Irvin? Best of all-time? I'm pretty sure the best coach of all-time would have beat the Jets at home in the playoffs.

.....Irvin's been on some heavy drugs...and took a good number of hits to the head as well, cut him some slack! Vince Lombardi was probably the best football coach on the NFL level, at least in my lifetime.
