Jody Sez We Will Be Active

Dante or no Dante, Rudy or no Rudy, I think the organization is committed to a playoff push this year.

We won't mortgage our celestially bright future but if we can make moves to win this season I think we will. And I fully support it.

Ya dig?

Yeah if anything it'll be fringe assets and cap space.

Jody is a nice guy. He's not on top of anything breaking ever. It's just something to tweet that's obvious to everyone who follows the NBA.

Does "active" mean DOL telling 29 GMs "No" when they all call him with Tibor for Kanter like offers?

How about the rights to Dimitrios Agravanis for Gordon Hayward?

Or the rights to Alessandro Gentile for Alec Burks?

Go Jazz.

HAHA.. may be because I'm in the mood .. but these are probably some of the funniest posts I've read for a while... LOL

For what??? I'm always clicking around looking for scenarios in the trade machine, to the point where I'd say I probably won't like whatever move they make.

It'll probably be a young player plus some assets for an upgrade of that young player. Not sure if I'm crazy about that.

There's 11 players under contract for next season; 7 Of which (Hayward, Favors, Gobert, Burks, Hood, Exum and Lyles) are probably seen as untouchable (not if I was running things but.. anyways)

The one player I'd look to build that type of deal around is Trevor Booker, someone out there could use him.

I know this thread is mostly about the Jazz being 'buyers' I ask why not be sellers?

If there's future assets to be had. It'd be quite the score to land a 1st round pick in 2018,2019 or even 2020 for cheap IMO. Plus selling right now would boost this years draft pick, and there's plenty of excuses ready-made for a failed playoff push this year -- Plus next season the playoff push will be very real and that's ultimately what matters.

My issue with buying now is couldn't these holes could've been fixed in the off-season?? Why pay more, now, just a few months later, because you didn't have the vision to obviate these issues in the off-season???

Tibor Pleiss appears to be just as NBA ready as undrafted Free Agent Robert Upshaw... What a joke -- the plan was to go with league minimum players behind Rudy?? I see that as some sort of concession from the FO, TBH.

I don't think they'll do much tbh. Just stringing the fans along here. The time to strike was in the offseason.

I do hope they trade Ingles and Pleiss for a pack of bubblegum. Get them off the books for next year. there's so much cap space, cut those losses and try again, the replacements will surely be better. **** I can find younger projects that are better players, tbh.

Might as well have been greg foster who said this
