What's new

Joe Alexander

Alexander is a very good athlete that lacks an NBA skill. He is too small to be a 4 and isn't skilled enough to be 3. Jeremy Evans is all ready filling that slot for us nicely.

What? We havent even seen Evans play an NBA minute yet. If we can, bring Alexander to camp and have him and Evans battle for a spot.

Alexander?

Why?

Is he dating or married to a former Turkish beauty queen? If he is then maybe I'd consider him. If not, why even talk about him?

He sucks. What does he bring that Evans or that D-league guy we had last year... Umm jeffers... What does Alex do that those two can't? I would sign Joe Johnson to a contract if he were still a FA. Not Joe Alexander.

Not sure what happened to that guy, but he was obviously poorly evaluated by scouts prior to entering the draft. All I remember hearing was how athletic he was, and that he was oozing potential. Seems like he shot up the draft board during individual workouts.

That said, his ceiling seems to be a poor man's Michael Beasley. To me, if you are going to be a tweener 3/4, you have to be an elite shooter. He is not. I'm sure there are some that find success without it, but most of the guys I think of are Rashard Lewis, Peja, Hedo T, Radman.

He's kinda dreamy, I think. Why not. Besides, that'd give the Jazz a former Bull, sort of make it even.

I have to admit I like him coming out of the draft as a very athletic 3. But in Milwaukee under Skiles he didn't make it on the floor because he didn't defend and made bone headed plays. He wouldn't be horrible wing depth at the minimum but I think we can do better.
