Joe Johnson Coming to Utah

As far as performance in the clutch, last season in 5-point games in the last 2 minutes:

Joe Johnson:
13 for 41 (31.7%), 5 for 17 from 3 (29.4%)

Arron Aflalo:
13 for 37 (35.1%), 3 for 15 from 3 (20.0%)

For comparison...

Gordon Hayward:
16 for 37 (43.2%), 2 for 10 from 3 (20.0%)

Rodney Hood:
15 for 49 (30.6%), 7 for 26 from 3 (26.9%)

Guess I was wrong about that too, still prefer the ball in his hands at the end of the game though

I've struggled with Neto/Mack decision but I'm starting to lean towards keeping Neto. Let Mack and Burke bounce. And for the love of god do whatever it takes to get Bolomboy on the active roster. He's my new obsession.

Agree with both points. (Keep neto. Keep bolomboy)

Joe's offensive game seems to age well Rodney definitely has a similar game if he stays healthy you can expect consistent long term production.

Im on board with this signing. Thank you Mr. Lindsey for putting in work...much appreciated.

Looks like jj is probably the better scorer. (I figured as much)
I feel that affalo is the better player though. (Always seemed to be a good defender)
It's close though

You didn't watch him play with the Knicks then.

Completely trash on team-defence, to the point of liability.

Plus Joe can play the 2, 3, or 4. More experienced, better passer. About a wash in terms of offence.

I prefer Joe. Although Afflalo got a fantastic contract from the perspective of Kings fans (2nd year non guaranteed).

I prefer JJ over Afflalo for the Jazz. It's a better fit imo. He provides more experience, better shooting, and he's much better in Iso situations (which the Jazz could desperately use). I'm glad they picked up JJ.

I like the idea of keeping Mack and Neto. Both are on cheap contracts and have shown value. I don't see a reason to cut either one unless one of them becomes an issue off the court in regards to playing time. In which case you have a good trade chip at the deadline.

Normally, I would agree with keeping both. However, we have so many guys who can bring the ball up aside from Exum and Hill, I kinda think it's reckless to keep 4 PG's and sacrifice a roster spot for more front court depth.

Yeah I can see your point. But I think we could add front court depth and still keep all four PG's. Maybe something like...

Exum/Hill/Mack/Neto
Hood/Burks
Hayward/J Johnson/Ingles
Favors/Lyles/Bolomboy
Gobert/Veteran UFA or pickup via trade/Either Withey or Pleiss

What? Doesn't the league and media refer to Mr. Johnson as Iso Joe?
