John Lucas III - Why would Jazz bring him back for 2nd year???

In football, players like this are used as human tackling dummies in practice. Do the Jazz need tackling dummies at their practices?

Yeah but wouldn't you want life size tackle dummies... I'm closer to NBA size than Lucas... I have more upside too!

I love John Lucas III, He's a really great person who helps a lot with the Jazz and the community. He's not that great at basketball... but I'm glad he's still on the team.

So is my Uncle... doesn't mean we have to give him a roster spot.

Anger... How did we pay 1.6 M per for this guy for two years, but didn't bring back Carroll for 2.5 M. This guy needs to be used in a trade or waived. We can get a veteran who doesn't suck... maybe someone that could teach the young guys how to run a team instead of chucking. Or they could give me the money and I'll be a super great example and cheer really loud.

I've been told in Lindsey we trust, and to sit down and shut up. So why did the Jazz get LucIII? He knew Lindsey. In Lindsey we trust.

There are others I would take over him both for PG and for the vet presence on the team. But if he is 3rd string PG it doesn't really bother me.

Do we really have to explain this again?

When you have a really young team, coaches want veterans at the end of the bench.

When you have a veteran team, you want young players at the end of the bench.

We are a young team.
Usually you want the veterans at the end of the bench to bring something of value. Like maybe talent, Leadership, or a skill. JLIII brings none of those things.

Junior Jazz representative, Doe. Also, locker room snitch. The value of a locker room snitch cannot be underestimated.
