Usually you want the veterans at the end of the bench to bring something of value. Like maybe talent, Leadership, or a skill. JLIII brings none of those things.

Trade him to Houston for their first round pick and a one year rental of Jeremy Lin.

Maybe we include JLIII in the rumored trade with Cleveland to eat up the dollar variance in players that are included in the deal. His option to Cleveland and then Cleaveland doesn't pick up the team option.
