No, of course not. I believe in civility. But PC slaves aren't civil, but rather finger point and derail the discussion and posture holier than thou. That's not "kind and considerate." That's self-serving.

Shrug I think we're just fighting to fight. I never intended to start anything. People saw the word "rape" not understanding its use as a metaphor (or maybe they don't know what a metaphor is) and the discussion got derailed so people could profess their anti-rape stance. As if anyone was promoting rape in the first place.

The precise problem is you used it as a metaphor. How do you still not understand that? I have no idea what you keep raving about or why you double down so hard about what is the lowest or at least easiest bar to hurdle I can think of.

I've shown you far more civility in these exchanges than you care to exhibit for... umm... anything?

I don't know man. I tried to not address it further, went to class, and you're still fuming about... what is it you're fuming about?

Anyway, I hope the Jazz get Jae Crowder for a good price, all things considered. No doubt Ainge is fretting over a bunch of bull ****.

Don't know if this has been posted already (or how credible it is)...

"The Celtics and Jazz appear to be getting closer to a sign-and-trade agreement that would involve Crowder, says Mark Murphy of The Boston Herald. According to Murphy, any deal is expected to be more than just Hayward for Crowder, since the Celtics would want something else in return, but details on assets aren’t currently known."

Punk move by Boston but they hold all the cards. We either give something else up or we get absolutely nothing. That is called a hostage situation. Ainge's son needs to call him and make some threats.

So Ainge expects Jazz to S&T Hateward and a #1 pick for Crowder
Is this really what the Jazz want to do

Yes. Hayward is gone to the Celtics regardless, and they're not running a charity.

You can't really include Hayward in the picture. This would basically be a #1 pick for Crowder. Which first round pick and the protections would be what make this a good deal or not. I think a 2018 or 2019 first with at least lottery protection is well worth Jae Crowder for 3 years at 7 million per year.

I would suspect the answer if a qualified yes. I think we are working to negotiate exactly what that pick entails, protection and all that. But would think that something, especially a truly serviceable player like Crowder, will be better than a short-term tank and gamble on the draft when we have so many decent players in their prime or soon to be there (Favors, Gobert, Hood, Ingles, etc.) already under contract. This would be the worst possible time for a rebuild unless we plan to blow the entire thing up and start from scratch. Crowder allows us to still compete now and possibly let our other guys develop a bit more (Mitchell, Hood, etc.). Hell if Burks comes back healthy and Hood can step up, this might not be all bad if we can get Crowder to plug the hole in the dike.

Thanks whoreward. I think that might be the best one yet actually. Has a nice ring to it.

As long as the Jazz protect any draft picks, then I think DL will give appropriate price to the Celtics. There's very little chance of them acquiring an adequate replacent for Hayward without giving more than what this will likely cost. Especially with the trade exception - that holds just as much value (if not more) as getting Crowder does. Have a feeling though that Crowder outperforms whatever price the Jazz pay to get him (especially on that contract.)
