What's new

July 12 jazz game in vegas

I'm more excited to see Exum at PG, Hayward at SG. That is a HUGE backcourt, great passing, above average defense, headaches for opposing teams.

Me too.

But you would really need a very good shooting SF and probably a stretch 4 who can shoot 3's as well to give room for Exum and Burks to operate and penetrate. We do have Hayward who can hopefully improve his 3pt shooting this season and oh wait a minute - we also have Novak right?!?! I wonder if that's by design?!?!
Hayward, and kanter. (Or like you said, novak)

I believe kanter gonna be drainin threes this year

Truth

I will say I'm more open to Burks/Exum playing together now that I know Exum is looking more for other's offense than his own.

Imo we cant go wrong at the sg position.

I hated the hayward contract but i love his versatility to play both positions on the wing and he can fit into any lineup or scheme.
Burks is much less versatile and more of a specialist. (Better passer and shooter than he gets credit for though)

Exum's best quality is his personality. He sounds confident and well spoken. Too many athletes sound like a bunch dumb azzes.

Too may athletes ARE a bunch of dumb azzes.
True re: Exum. And that's one of the BIG reasons Utah took him: BBIQ off the charts. The kid has instincts, intelligence and speed. With his size, I wonder if his stats will mirror those of Jason Kidd? I could easily see Exum averaging 16-18 pts (with a lot of those coming from the line), 10 assists and 6 rebounds. Obviously not this season, especially coming off the bench for a young team. But I think he gets there in 3 years.

Burke sucks. He's too slow to make an impact as a starter on either side of the court. Not sure why ppl are riding the burke/exum backcourt. Yuck

There was one play from Exum in the game that made my mouth drop. He was on the baseline, stutter stepped, and next thing I knew he was under the basket for a reverse layup. Super ****ing quick. When I saw the play happen, Exum's body, movement and subsequent play instantly reminded me of Kobe. Now, I don't know if those comparisons were being being before he was drafter, but that's who it made me think of.
