July 14 SL Exum vs Parker 8:30 MT

Alright group hug (you too thriller). That was a fun bonding experience we all just had. Even doe thriller is kinda being a dick, he's our dick and that's not going to change, let's just embrace it.

I agree. We should all embrace it simultaneously and with fervor.

Parker was being guarded by Malcom Thomas, Brock Motum, and Eric Murphy and only had an OK game at best.

The offense was, dare I say it in a summer league game, beautiful! It resembled the Spurs offensive approach with the ball not sticking at all. After watching the Spurs in the Finals, I have found a real love for passing the ball. It's almost like making the shot is secondary sometimes when you have beautiful ball movement ended with a wide-open shot.

Yeah I see it too. It's beautiful but it doesn't mean much unless your wing guy can hit the open 3's at the end.

No wonder we've got Hood and Novak... it's gonna be a fun year.

Exum looked passive off the ball. they had him hiding in the corner and he disappeared. Kid needs the ball in his hands, but his stamina needs to improve.needs to learn to breath out his nose.looking at him always sucking air with his mouth wide open.

Here's my take on the game. And this is just off of this game and this game only. Off the top of my head...

I think SJF said earlier in this thread that among the other reasons for not bringing back Corbin, the biggest was his blunder in benching Gobert throughout most of last year. I think the majority of us saw it and agreed that Mr. Gobert needed burn. This is so evident it's ridiculous. He's a honest to goodness game changer on both ends of the floor. As soon as he steps out on the court, he's hard to ignore and it's his attitude that I love the most. He's a son of a bitch and this team needs that. I remember last year and maybe I'm wrong but I remember that Gobert tweeted something after a game about not getting playing time. Maybe that's why Corbin soured on him. Who knows. Mr. Gobert is special and if tonight shows anything, Mr. Snyder thinks the same.

Burke was an absolute calming influence in this game. As soon as he stepped off the court our offense went to complete ****. Spacing went to ****, passing went to **** and bad decisions were made. His 6 rebounds were great and his assists should have been higher if the open folks he passed to and setup perfectly made their open shots. Burke's issue was shooting. Horrific. Clank after clank and his drives to the basket were woeful. At least make the layups! There's a reason he had a +24 for the game.

In respect to Hood, what I liked more than all of that terrific shooting was his interior passing to the low post. He's got a good eye and to have the presence of mind to look for that interior higher percentage shot speaks well of him and his understanding of the game. 5 assists are not shabby at all. Kids a smooth shooter and his defense was better than decent. I also like his demeanor....really liked it.

Exum was average in this game. He seems like he understand things fair enough, he's smooth but his three point shot looks horrific. I have no confidence in it. A turnover for every assist is no bueno either.

Brock was cool but he's goofy as ****. Someone start a kickstarter for him in order to get a decent haircut. I'm sure there are more than a few Jazz fans from this board that connect with him on a personal level. Double digit points were chill.

No one else stuck out in my mind. A lot of stiffs being given a chance.

Meanwhile Burke keeps his summer league shooting woes going strong. (22%fg 14%3pt through 2 games)

Dude, Thriller, there's like 17 other Hayward threads that you can go in and hate on. Seriously, take a hike.

Buzzkill.

Geez, no kidding. Thriller is getting about as repetitive and annoying about Hayward as Carolina Jazz is about hoppers. Yes, we get the point, please for the love of God move on.
