Of course I hate Trump. He attempted to overthrow a democratic election. Any American citizen who claims to love our country and Constitution should be embarrassed to even consider voting for him after that. But he also gives endless other reasons to hate him and everything he stands for.

Presidents don't write laws. I really don't care very much about every single position a Presidential candidate takes on policy or law. I'm pretty sure what your response to this will be, but what I'm concerned about is project 2025 because that is the playbook drafted for the MAGA movement. Trump can claim ignorance all he wants, I don't care if he knew about it or not. He's not a great thinker, so the people who wrote it wouldn't have benefitted from his incoherent input. Nonetheless, they wrote it for him, for his potential administration. It is the MAGA wish list along with operating instructions to get the U.S. there. If Trump gets into office LGBTQ people will be harmed. Women will lose reproductive rights more than they already have. Not by Presidential dictate, but by MAGA legislators passing ****** laws at both the federal and state level.Both candidates in the race are pro-choice. Trump is also pro-life as in he personally abhors abortion, but he wants the woman's right to choose set at 20 weeks.

In the linked video, the women were at 12 weeks and 18 weeks when the fetal defects were discovered. Both would have been able to get abortions if Trump had his way. Trump's position is actually more liberal than most of Europe, but we are where we are because many on the left want no restriction on abortion, including birth being a limit on abortion. Most scoff and say democrats don't want that, but current VP candidate Tim Walz changed the laws of his state to allow it and since becoming governor there have been eight post-birth killings in his state.
Kamala Harris has been asked directly multiple times about any limits she would accept on abortion and she has refused to enumerate any restrictions. So long as there are a contingent pushing for the right of mothers to kill their children even after birth, there are going to be those on the opposite side pushing to outlaw abortion entirely. Trump's position is the compromise position. The Harris / Walz position is what makes compromise impossible. Now we get videos of women who knew about fetal defects earlier than 20 weeks used as fodder to push for allowing mothers to kill perfectly healthy children without restriction.

I'd say that while I disagree some of your points of view, I applaud your thought process at choosing whom to support. I feel that implementing this policy or that policy and the effects of those actions is all perfectly valid for choosing who you want to see in the position of power. I feel too many people get caught up in the personal details that just don't matter to the type of job someone will do if put into the position of responsibility.

When talking about this issue, I most commonly refer to mothers killing their child. The term "mother" reinforces that there is a child. The response I get back is about "women" because that linguistically erases the existence of a child. My use "mother" instead of "parent" is due to the statistical reality of who is almost always making the decision to kill the child and my personal view that a mother should be the guardian of ultimate responsibility for the protection of her child.
