Kanter and Favors as our future

Favors played (and practiced) his rookie season, but then missed rookie camp, summer league and a full training camp. Most people will tell you that the largest improvement most players have in their careers will be between their rookie and second seasons, but I think the 2010 class may have missed out on that improvement.

In Kanter's case, the same applies only prior to his rookie season. PLUS he sat out competitive basketball for over a year.

I can't say yet whether they'll be franchise cornerstones next to each other, but I'm not worried yet. Both have shown significant promise and some weaknesses, but they have time to work on the latter.

Don't forget that this franchise had one of the all time greatest low post and pnr players, he is not currently employed by any other teams so he would be PERFECT to work with the two young, high lottery bigs that are the teams future.

oh, whats that?

The Jazz already hired some other guy to work with the post players?

He's how tall?

Well, he did play in the NBA right?

Jazz aren't bringing him on board, it would be too much of a sideshow and Karl would relish the attention. While I agree with the FO not to hire him as a coach, I do think they could try and go the "DWill to Spokane for a few weeks in the Summer" route with Favors/Kanter and send them away with Karl for a few weeks.
