How do you guys feel about Kanter?

He has a lot of work to do. Hopefully he can come in next season and eliminate bringing the ball to his knees on rebounds under the basket. If he can do that, and just improve his overall feel for the game, he can be a pretty good garbage man type scorer until he develops his offense ability.

Fixing that bad habit is the thing he needs to work on the most in my opinion.

What Cy said and just get some more minutes. He still plays too much like he's in a hurry rather than playing within the game.

Kanter surprised me this year with how he has a pretty good feel for the game even though he hasn't played it much. I thought he would be a lot more of a raw project then he turned out to be. Of course he has a lot of work to do to reach the potential he has as a player, But for a 19 year old he played pretty well this year at times. The one thing I would like to see inprovement on other than what Cy said is passing out of the post. He shoots every time he gets it in there no matter what.

He also needs to learn to press his hands together more tightly when holding the basketball.

But, as I've commented before, he's been much better this season than I dared hope. I think next season will tell us if we've got a potential all-star, or if we just have a very good role player.

And to his great credit, he has improved his game as the season progressed. I suspect he's hit the rookie wall a bit as of late, as his minutes and numbers have dipped. He's only 19; not unexpected.
