Kanter Review in the First Preseason Game

Last season ... what about yesterday? He still is constantly getting his shot blocked at the rim. Why?

1. He's too slow in his reaction
2. He doesn't attack the rim with force; he ought to watch Griffin, or Favors even.

I believe he needs to let the game come to him. He is forcing things way too much. When you get doubled someone is open, pass the ball. It doesn't matter who you are, if you're doubled and try to shoot the ball it's usually not going to go your way.

Yes, but there are times when he hesitates and then makes his move. He needs to react and go to the hole before the double team is established.

I think this will come in time. He needs to become smarter in the way he plays. The physical ability is there but the mind needs to catch up. On a side note, he did have a couple good looking jumpers that will really open his game if hit consistently.

Yeah, and while we're at it we should have Mo watch Jamaal Crawford on how to run a team. Is Kanter ever going to be able to even imitate those guys? No. So why have him try? If I were on the staff I would have him watch endless film of Duncan and both Gasols.

Thanks for the article, sir.

But why everyone says that Kanter has picked up the "up-and-under move" from Big Al? It's not true at all. This article claims the same.

It looks just like Big Al's up and under move. If we had seen him college doing it then no one would talk about it.

1 is the key. His awareness is a little slow at this point so by the time he makes his move there is another defender or even two right on him. With the Williams bros on the perimeter hopefully he is kicking the ball out to them regularly basis. Even Dwight Howard kicks out to his perimeter guys constantly, he knows trying to beat an NBA double team is a fools game.
