Kanter stood up Toronto, Milwaukee, and Utah for Interviews

It is obvious why he didn't interview. He wants to play the 4. Doing workouts with the Centers just makes him look better. This guy could be amazing, but I don't think he fits with us.

if we kept matthews, damn...

c jefferson - okur
pf favors - millsap - kanter
sf kirilenko - cj - pick from the draft
sg matthews - hayward
pg harris - watson

if we would use millsap and harris to get a borderline all-star pg and a solid pick or veteran player in return, i don't se it why we wouldn't be a contender.

And the same exact post for the 283723 time. We get it. You want Kanter and then Millsap traded.

Maybe if Washing really likes Kanter and Utah really likes Walker they could make a trade work? Maybe Jordan Crawford and there pick (I think 6th, so Knight or Walker depending on who the Raptors take) for Kanter? I like it for Utah and Washington

if kanter really hates utah, why did he do his first workout in front of koc? just think people, he does want to play this year, he couldn't play the whole year. he wants to start and get his minutes. the jazz simply can't give him that with okur, jefferson, millsap and favors. if we trade the one or the other, he surely would change his mind. or do you think he would accept a second year without playing? come on... the jazz have to decide wheter they want a 18 year old guy that can soon be able to put 20-10, or not. millsap might be great, but he is undersized and not more than a great sixth man. he is the odd man out, imo. trade him, use okur as a mentor this year for kanter and resign him for the mle.

Sounds all overblown. Could be that Utah didn't want to talk to him and had what they wanted. Could be that they already spoke prior. I wouldn't worry about it.

guys, we really have a great situation right now, i don't know why we shouldn't be called contenders after two years. sometimes you have to take a risk to get to the next level and not always be way too careful. we have much talent, but not balanced talent on every of the five positions.

As a Turkish fan, I have been hearing Enes stories for many years. My observation is he is either too immature or is getting very bad advice.
Two years ago, he was in the squad of respected european club Fenerbahce (also the team of Omer Asik and Semih Erden) and had chance to play in Euroleague. He suddenly decided to go to US even if it was obvious that NCAA would not let him play. Last summer, he was invited to participate in the training camp of the Turkish National team, and he did not join. Finally, this year, when Fenerbahce lost an important player, and they offered him chance to play in Euroleague, and again he did not want to.
Hedo and Memo are the most successful Turkish players in the NBA and they played at Euroleague level before joining NBA. Omer Asik, and Ersan Ilyasova, also improved their games in the Euroleague. Unfortunately, Enes missed the chance. Personally I think Utah would be a great fit for him and Memo would be a very good mentor for one year.

From this draft? Bismack or Jonas. Anyone who is defensive and rebounding minded first, scoring 2nd.

Jonas is awful, thought we went over this. He can rebound alright, but not a good defender. And if Kanter is set on playing PF, why is Minn one of the teams he wants to play for? And Kanter will be a better rebounder that Jonas, book it.

It is shovel-face's birthday, and he did workout for the Jazz in March. Maybe we are reading too much into this, or maybe he hates us and thinks we are ugly.

I was really starting to like Kanter. If it is true he refused to interview with the jazz in the hopes of somehow sliding to Washington, I will be very disappointed. Not with the fact he wont be a Jazzman, but because I was starting to like a player that is so stupid he thinks he can pick and choose which team he plays for. Does Kanter really believe 3 teams will pass on him simply because he would prefer to play in Washington. I'm sure Toronto, who is desperate for a big man, will just give Kanter to Washington. yea right. Good grief.

not only for kanter but i dont know why these players love themselves so much. they r just rookies and they didnt prove anythng yet. i can include enes, derrick williams and ricky rubio did the same thing 2 yrs ago.

And for the record, I think we do all we can to get DWill. Granted Minnesota might be swooned by a great offer for the pick, but if not, and if they are high and Kanter, and if Kanter graces them with his presence during interviews, then I can easily see us swapping picks with them a la CWebb/Hardaway. If we have to throw something in to sweeten the deal so be it (this is only if Kanter is set on not coming here). I only say this because I do think the drop from Kanter/DWill to Knight is significant.
