Put me in the Favors >>> Kanter camp. Kanter hasn't proven anything.
I'd say Kanter's offense is better, right now, than Favors' defense. I'd say they're pretty even when it comes to Favors' offense vs. Kanter's defense. I sincerely believe that, right now, Kanter is the better player.
Having said that, I would take Favors over Kanter in two years ... not to say they couldn't share the court .. because that is what I would like to see.
Favors is already a good defender, rebounder and unselfish passer. If Favors develops a mid-range game, he's going to be scary good. Ford already said if Favors were in this draft, there's no question he'd go #1. My gut tells me Knight will be the pick unless Williams is on the board. I think the Jazz would be ok with a Kanter/Jimmer draft. They'd get a solid backup PG behind Harris who could add some scoring to the 2nd unit. But Sacramento might take Jimmer at #7.Put me in the Favors >>> Kanter camp. Kanter hasn't proven anything.
This Kanter love versus Favors is absurd. We are talking about Favors who would be the uncontested 1st overall pick this year in this garbage draft against a guy who has proven little. Do I like Kanter, sure. But he has proven very little. Unless you count an AS game which he scored a lot of point. An AS game.
