I see Karl Malone just came out in support of Collins and the gay lifestyle. Well, what can you expect. Karl has been fornicating up a storm for most of his adult life. Best power forward ever.....but not much of a role model otherwise.

Actually a shame Malone wasn't gay. Would have saved him from fathering children with three different women, abandoning one child completely and the others until one showed she could really ball.

Are you comparing being gay to being a deadbeat father with multiple mothers?

Not even close. I was saying if he had been gay, he wouldn't have fathered children. I have always been a critic of Malone's irresponsible actions. Unbelievable how quick some are to twist words.

....no comparison, other than neither results in good fruitage. Here's some more observations by a well respected sports writer who's column I happen to enjoy reading!

Well, I get that being a wife beating deadbeat father is a bad thing.

But I still don't get what you're saying in the first post-- are you seriously saying "Oh, of course Karl would support Jason because Karl is a bad person and supports bad behavior." I might be reading too much into it.

I really need to stay out of gay topics on this board. I don't know why I let stupid people get to me.
 
The interesting thing here is that Karl is a republican. More and more conservatives are switching over in support of gay rights. They see how ridiculous, and out of the times they were.
 
Personally, I don't think Jason should be applauded nor denounced for coming out. I'm critical of Malone for being a deadbeat dad. And I'm critical of Jason not for being gay, but for being in a hetero relationship for 8 years, with a women who stated she wanted a husband, a soul mate and a family. If Jason knew from Day 1 he was gay - and I think most of you are saying his orientation is genetic, not by choice - then he certainly knew he would NEVER give that to her. He should have ended that romantic relationship immediately.

There is a lot of pressure on black, Christian men without criminal records. Pressure from relatives, preachers, friends, etc. There's also a lot of bad advice. It's vary possible that Collins didn't allow himself to realize he was gay until recently. It wasn't that long ago that gay men raised families with women, while sneaking around in men's spas and similar venues.

...you and one brow can read into it whatever you want to read into it. You feel the way you do about the homosexual/lesbian takeover and I have my feelings about it. Do I think it's bad "behavior?" Absolutely. Same with those who produce and have children out of wedlock.

The struggle of the homosexual male is a bit more complicated than this.
