Karl Malone's take on all of this......?

Personally, I don't think Jason should be applauded nor denounced for coming out. I'm critical of Malone for being a deadbeat dad. And I'm critical of Jason not for being gay, but for being in a hetero relationship for 8 years, with a women who stated she wanted a husband, a soul mate and a family. If Jason knew from Day 1 he was gay - and I think most of you are saying his orientation is genetic, not by choice - then he certainly knew he would NEVER give that to her. He should have ended that romantic relationship immediately.

Well when you're pressured to be straight and are told that homosexuality is an open rebellion against God, you do whatever you can to fit in. Do you not understand that it was Christian pressure making him be in that hetero relationship for 8 years? If he wasn't told growing up that being gay would send him to hell, or the fact that "******" was totally overused in the 90's and 00's, or that the african american community has been ridiculously slow to accept LGBT rights, he would have probably come out a lot sooner.

...you and one brow can read into it whatever you want to read into it. You feel the way you do about the homosexual/lesbian takeover and I have my feelings about it. Do I think it's bad "behavior?" Absolutely. Same with those who produce and have children out of wedlock.

TAKEOVER? A minority is finally becoming accepted into society and you consider this a TAKEOVER?

Oh my god, hearing you babble this nonsense makes me want to stab my eyes out just so I no longer have to read this.

.....well, obviously it's not a "takeover" in that sense. But the ground swell of acceptance to the gay/lesbian lifestyle has certainly TAKEN OVER! From elementary school teachers to Judges to the clergy to every segment of society it now seems like if you don't accept the gay "alternative" lifestyle.....YOU are the odd one who's lost your mind, sense of right and wrong as well as human "kindness" and love for humanity!

....no, I do not "understand" what pressure was making him do what he decided to do or not do.....but don't you think that SOMEONE had an influence in his decision to experiment with the gay lifestyle as well, since he was already involved intimately with his female girlfriend?

Statistical info from a source with an obvious agenda.
Look at the dates on those studies, dude. Not exactly hot off the presses.

What does that matter? Are you saying that gays today have a higher sense of morality than the gays of 20 years ago?

Receding back into lurker territory.

Yup. You're openly hating on a group of humans which you share this earth with. You don't have promote homosexuality, but it doesn't make you a bad person to accept others for who they are. The fact that you can't accept them as co-humans is what makes you a terrible person. You're the one being a hater, not me. I don't agree with Christianity, but you don't see me freaking out that 75% of the country literally believes in something that I find to be untrue.

The only reason you're having a bad time is because your overwhelming majority isn't getting it's way for one of the first times in American history. Doesn't feel good to be on the bottom does it?

We need to co-exist, not discriminate.

You obviously live by Christian morals. Jason was raised with Christian morals too. That's why he was in a relationship. Because he's a Christian and if you're not allowed to be with men under Christian rules, you can choose two things: Be lonely for the rest of your natural born life, or deal with the fact that even though you aren't sexually attracted to women, the thought of any form of companionship is better than living alone.

Here's a question.

What's bad about homosexuality? What about it affects your life in any way? Who does it hurt?

Sounds great. I hope you're right.

Here's a quote from Bell and Weinberg in their book on homosexuality (the guys responsible for those statistics you posted)
“. . . given the variety of circumstances which discourage homosexuals from participating in research studies, it is unlikely that any investigator will ever be in a position to say that this or that is true of a given percentage of all homosexuals.”

So I guess don't just blindly quote statistics at people. Do your research first.
