If you lump everything into "seasons" you are technically correct, but that's not entirely fair either, given that MJ did not play most of his 2nd season due to a broken foot. But if you go by actual games that Jordan played without Pippen (before Pippen entered the league, when Pippen was injured/DNP, or when Pippen played on a different team), Jordan in fact had a winning record without Pippen 193-187 .508. Not amazing, but it's still a winning record.


  • 1984/85 - 38-44
  • 1985/86 - 9-9
  • 1986/87 - 40-42
  • 1987/88 - 3-0
  • 1988/89 - 4-5
  • First 3peat - 1-0
  • Last 3peat - 31-12
  • 2001/02 - 30-30

His first five seasons, yes. But you're right, he probably never, ever improved.
 
So in your opinion if New Orleans's management is never able to build a capable winning team around Anthony Davis, then his achievements mean less despite him being possibly the most talented player ever?

If he is the most talented player ever than New Orleans will be a winning team. Maybe not a championship team but a "winning one".

Carry on lying to yourself that you are objective. You clearly dont like him. Keep the hate alive, its a classy look.

It doesnt bother me if you dont think he is the GOAT but your wrong by most every measurable standard and there is no reputable professional in the sports world that agrees with you.

You are right Jordan in his first few years in the League was not the GOAT. That is one of the things that made him the GOAT is he worked hard to improve his natural ability. Most competitive driven player around. He got much better as time went on. He is the GOAT because of what he did in his prime... I guess next you want to bring up stats when he was on Washington to prove he wasnt that good.
 
How am I wrong? What imperical evidence do you have that he's the goat? Why are you so offended that someone would suggest that he's not?

I'm calling MJ a top 5 player all time. That's a compliment. I personally don't think there is a goat in any sport. Wilt redefined the game. Russell won 11. Kareem was fantastic in every facet. LBJ is doing amazing things.

It's not an insult to call a guy top 5 all time. It's not an insult to say the guy was amazing. I have the right to opinions like any other. I'm not insulting you for thinking he is the goat. So stop insulting me.
