No he's not. Marvin's a pretty good defender. Evans is not. Marvin can shoot. Evans can not. Marvin can dribble and pass. Evans can not.

I'm not saying Marvin is a great player. Just saying Evans is a terrible one. He literally has no NBA skill other than jumping.

Evans isn't as bad as you make him out. The only thing holding him back from being a regular rotation guy in the league is his weight. Jeremy is a good rebounder and shot blocker and always scores with a few dunks everytime he is in and plays hard. Marvin is completely worthless.

This. These 2 players don't even belong in the same category of player. Evans dreams of one day being close to as good as Marvin. And that is about it.

You have them backwards. Evans is pretty much worthless. Marvin has a place in this league. He's no where near as bad as many fans here make him out to be. He's really the only guy in our starting lineup that plays even average defense.

Evans is a PF in a SF body. He's to weak and skinny to even put up minimal resistance against the worst PF's in the league. While having no decernible skills as a SF. He can't dribble. Really I cringe even when he is all by himself. He can't shoot. I've never even seen him come close to making more than 2 or 3 shots from anything outside of 2 feet. Has he ever made a pass that improved the chances of the team scoring? He's too slow to defend even crappy SF's in the league. I really don't see anything that Evans does for an NBA team besides dunk and every once in a great while block a shot when the offesive player is too lazy to just push him out of the way.

because they are different players.
marv is left out of the offense.
and makes no mistakes defensifly. you cant compare those two.

they are totally different players they do totally different stuff for the eam.
it is just that fat al fits better with caroll than with williams.

it's like dwight howard with orland. orlando brought in players that fit around dwight howard.
when you do that good things tend to happen(eg went to the finals).

when you try to fit in marv with big al he becomes invisible. cus he aint hogging the ball. he aint a black hole. and he does not make mistakes.
worse of al marvin williams and al are not a good match
