Kevin Durant - Racist Remarks on Hayward....surprised...

Your pretty easily offended, for a [insert your race here] person.

I'm genuinely not offended. I am surprised at what we as society allow to be said about one ethnic or racial group, but not to another. Also, public comments such as this always have more scrutiny. If Gordon and Kevin were good friends, this comment might be just fine in private. I'm not sure it's appropriate as a public comment, similar to my "smart for a black guy" comment above.

You try to disguise an insult to the intelligence of a group of people by paralleling an innocent joke that is offensive to no one.

Offensive. Unnecessary. Rude. Neg repped.

Just you wait until a black person makes fun of white people's dancing. Then he'll let you know what he REALLY thinks of black people.

My opinion is that political correctness sucks, so I'm on the opposite end of this spectrum from you. I was being sarcastic when I suggested that it would be offensive if it was the other way around, but that might have gotten lost in translation. I'm sick and tired of people who are always looking for something to be offended about, or even worse, for something that they think some group they don't even belong to ought to get offended about.

It's mostly awesome and sometimes ridiculous how the anonymity of the internet provides such fertile soil for delicate flowers to bloom.

You don't speak for everyone. There absolutely are people that are offended by his comment (admittedly, I am not). My comment was tongue-in-cheek, as was Durant's (if this wasn't obvious).

For the record, I'm a white guy, and I'm not very athletic. At all. I sure like sports, though. And documentaries, indie music, hiking, and lattes. All true.

That's a pretty insightful comment....for a moron. (I hope everyone can interpret the sarcasm here).
