We talked about this a lot before that one guy left, but then it didn’t make any sense because it didn’t fit into our timeline. I’m not sure where Celeveland stands with him, but he’s under contract for two more years after this season. It looks like our timeline may have sped up a bit and I think we could put together a good run over the next couple years, as I think what he would bring would be quite complementary and not in any way duplicative that some other options may be. The spacing would tremendously help Gobert and perhaps even revive Rubio. Favors and JJ would make sense for them, but I wonder what kind of asset they’re looking for and what other teams would be willing to give.

Only possible if LeBron leaves I think. Even so, Cavs may just resign IT and try to run a IT, Love, high 1st rounder next year.

Certainly possible. Almost forgot about IT, even though I rationalized that they wouldn’t need, or wouldn’t think they need, Love’s offense with IT’s return, but they probably want to see how they do at full power.

Revisited.

Now I'm going back to forgetting all about it. A team is on a 10-game win streak... time to trade their 2nd best player, I guess.

It’s a fan message board. You know it took everything in me from posting a “LeBron revisited” thread.

Too old. And is peaking out in terms of his trade value.

Imo we need someone that fits out age profile better 22-26yrs preferably.

Love is playing incredible basketball right now and he's a great fit with LeBron against everybody but the Warriors. it would be really hard to pry Love from Cleveland.

arguably playing the best basketball of his career. PER 24, TS% 62%; 23 and 13 per 36. dude is thriving. but its inability to guard multiple positions that will doom him and the Cavs vs the Warriors.

if they can get past Boston.

I think the only other reasonable trade I’d make for Favors would be for Crowder. Otherwise hang on to him.

You don't want to mess with Love he has the dreaded player option in 2019/20. So hard to plan, build around that as we found out with Hayward.

But he loves the state of Utah. Didn't he spend a good part of the off-season in Park City? He'd be a great fit, but how do we get him? Cleveland won't be trading him this year. They have to make a run while Lebron is still around. IF LBJ were to leave, I could see Cleveland deciding to trade Love and rebuild. Personally, I don't see them re-signing IT. You don't build around a 30-yr old with his kind of injury. Depends on Utah's draft pick, I suppose. If Jazz miss the playoffs and get a decent lottery pick, they could trade Burks + filler, the rights to that pick and maybe another future first for Love.

If we’re bad enough to miss the playoffs, then our trajectory will be further out and we wouldn’t mess with Love or give up an asset more in line with our trajectory. Love only makes sense if we compete over the next 2 years.

Hes quoted saying Park City is his favorite place on earth.
