Kirilenko staying in Russia

AK's smart. He'll probably win some major mafia points by hanging with CSKA. Then in a couple of years, he ditches the basketball thing, attaches himself to the Russian political machine and ends up near the top of the Forbes 500 list right by future Prime Minister Mikhail Prokhorov. NBA paychecks be damned.

Haha, now this is creative.

I think AK only wanted to play for the Jazz, who weren't very interested, and when the other offers he received were below expectations, he made his decision.

CSKA will be Euroleague champion this year, probably. Andrei is a team by himself. It has been very enjoyable to watch him competing in Europe.

Agreed.

Plus, AK47 is one of my fav players. Yes he is overpaid but he is also underrated. Maybe he is the most underrated overpaid player.

On the other hand I didn't want him in Jazz uniform anymore for the sake of both him and the Jazz. So I am happy about his decision.

I think Andre was holding out for $9M/per and when nothing came in above the MLE, he and his agent decided to save face by having Andrei stay in Russia.

Well, I'm glad I wasted my 3rd overall pick on him for my fantasy team...
Wow, oops

I think this is better for AK, I think his game is better suited for European basketball, and the back to back -pause- back to back would have been murder on his back.

If I remember, his contract gives him the option to leaver every single year, so he could come back, but I still maintain that he is better off in Russia. Any AK fans can maybe try to get his Russian games online?

Well before I say I told you...nah I'll just say it. I told you so.
