SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz ended the first quarter of the 2020-21 NBA season on a big run against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Blazers hosted the Jazz at the Moda Center on Wednesday, December 23.
After trailing Portland 13-6 four minutes into the contest, Utah responded with a big run to close the opening 12 minutes of action.
The Jazz ended the quarter on a 21-8 spurt.
Jazz guard Mike Conley led with seven points on 3-5 shooting, including 1-1 from three-point land.
Conley also scored Utah’s first points of the season on an early floater.
Jordan Clarkson ignited the Jazz’s second unit with six quick points off a pair of triples.
In the quarter, Utah shot 50 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from downtown.
The Jazz owned a 32-25 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Portland was led by CJ McCollum’s eight points.
