SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz recorded their worst offensive quarters of the first round series against the Denver Nuggets during the opening half of Game 7.

The Jazz played the Nuggets in the final game of the best-of-seven first round series on Tuesday, September 1.
During the first quarter, the Jazz scored a series-low 21 points and trailed the Nuggets by five at the end of the first 12 minutes of action.
The second quarter didn’t go any better.
Utah followed up the 21 point quarter with a new low of 15 points.
The Jazz trailed the Nuggets 50-36 at halftime.
By comparison, the Jazz scored 63 points during the first half of Game 6, which they ended up losing by 10 points.
It was the fewest points by Utah during the first half of a playoff game since 2012.
During the first 24 minutes of game time, Utah shot 38.9 percent from the field, including 26.3 percent on three pointers.
Denver outshot Utah by shooting 46.2 percent overall and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic scored a first half-high 13 points. Denver’s Jamal Murray added 10 points.
Utah was led by Jordan Clarkson’s 10 points off the bench.

Jazz All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert each went to the bench midway through the second quarter with three fouls.
Mitchell scored 7 points in 18 minutes. Gobert added 6 points, all of which came during the first quarter.
