Maybe for the same reason Memphis traded Pau Gasol to the Lakers in exchange for Kwame Brown?...I'm still searching for that reason tbh

doubt the cavs would give up their pick. They are doing the lakers a favor if they do this trade. The lakers will just waive Bynum, as his salary is not guaranteed. They would save tons of luxury tax this year, and next, and probably get a top ten pick because they are going to suck until Kobe comes back.
