No... Bell is a worthless punk who does nothing for the team on the floor. Rondo is difficult, I admit, but he is an elite young PG who plays his *** off. Malone was also a pain to deal with, who gives a ****?
The fact that Doc Rivers a strong coach has problems with him what do you think Corbin will have? He cannot even handle Bell. Also Rondo would destroy chemistry.
As for skill I never denied that. He just would be bad for all the non skill reasons. Attitude, chemistry, coachability...

Substitute "Rondo" with "Deron." He ran the most tenured coach out of town. One who, up until that point, had the complete support of management. KOC would have to completely clear his calendar in order to fit in daily intervention meetings with Ty and Rajon.
It's a bit more complicated than that. Boston is an aging team on the verge of a major rebuilding effort. Rondo and Rivers never got along. So they are left with two options; suck it up and rebuild around an empowered Rondo at the risk of losing Rivers and having to deal with Rondo's personality, or use Rondo, one of the Celtics' most valuable assets to get quality picks/pieces for the rebuilding process. Rondo is nothing like Cousins. He is a mature hard working player, who happens to be a bit high maintenance.
The Boston organization, which is much more in the know than either of us, says he is hard to handle, uncoachable and a problem. I am more inclined to take their word for it over yours.
Also if he was that mature he would be able to handle himself like a proffesioal and do what the coach asks.

It has come out a good half dozen times. I am to lazy to go searching but it is there if you want to find it.
I think you're wrong on this Gojazz. I can all but assure you this is message board/rumor generated and perpetuated. Maybe true? Who knows, but I doubt it's ever been said publicly by Boston.

this is the whole story?
-The Times' Mike Bresnahan reports the Lakers and Celtics talked last week about making a trade for Rajon Rondo. But Bresnaahn reports are unwilling to trade Pau Gasol for Rondo.
BS all the way,,they are just trying to push up pau gasol's value,thats all..dont believe this BS story man

When used right, Gasol is still probably the #2 big in the game. Rondo is perhaps #6 in the PG rankings and probably higher than #10 when you include all backcourt players. If I were LA no way would I do Gasol for Rondo straight up.
