Lakers reject Rondo for Gasol swap

I think you're wrong on this Gojazz. I can all but assure you this is message board/rumor generated and perpetuated. Maybe true? Who knows, but I doubt it's ever been said publicly by Boston.

It is possible as I do not remember the sources of where I read it. I want to say ESPN had articles on his unchoachability but I could be wrong.

When used right, Gasol is still probably the #2 big in the game. Rondo is perhaps #6 in the PG rankings and probably higher than #10 when you include all backcourt players. If I were LA no way would I do Gasol for Rondo straight up.

Gosal is going down,,LA knows it,,thats why they want to trade him,,rondo is the best piece they can get for gasol,,rondo type player is what LA needs,,

I've known Jonny since he was a junior in high school. He does have some clashes with coaches and, to a lesser degree, some teammates. Rather than write a book here about each instance, I can tell you that every time, that I am aware, it had to do with a lack of effort. He never got on players for mistakes, but rather being lazy (whether it be off-season, practice, or during games). He's intense and wants to win. In my opinion, he'd do well mentoring a hard-working core of young guys that aren't afraid to bust their asses.

Coaches are not immune to this either. I know of two instances when he demanded more of the coaches (time put in to 'coach up' younger guys, specifically) and didn't hold back his feelings. Never done publicly, but let them have it for being 'lazy.'

He's intense, no doubt. But at least it's about winning.

Jazz need that no doubt.

Gasol is going down because he plays with a guy named Kobe who has no other interest other than to break Kareem's scoring record.

Did you actually read the link you posted? They're saying that Rondo is being traded because of Boston's situation and the timing of the market. They said he has some personality issues, but most can be defined as "weird", but that he's perfectly manageable. That's pretty much what we've been saying.

Again...I did not have alot of time so no I did not read them. If I am proven wrong then great. If he is an outsanding guy and perfectly manageable then I withdraw my objections. Unlike most of the people here I have no online ego (which is why attacks on me have no affect), so what do I care if I am wrong about a player I do not personally know? My perception on what I have read is that he is not a guy I would want here.

If that perception is wrong then I am fine with changing it.
