Maybe this should be in another forum but here goes:

What are the best options for League Pass? Every year I've gotten the full package (which is unnecessary as I only watch the Jazz games). I know you can purchase one or a select few teams at a reduced price but we have Dish and last year when I tried to order they were absolutely clueless. However, I'm also curious about ordering it online and if that's easy to stream from your TV, if anyone here is doing that.

My biggest problem is that I live in central Texas and though I'm a minimum of two hours from Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, they consider me to be in all of those television markets when in reality I don't get any of them. So that's 12 games per year that are blacked out (even games in Utah!). Is this able to be remedied?

If they are blacked out you should have them on other Dish channels. Otherwise get a VPN for the online access.

What's VPN and is this easily streamed on a smart TV? Regarding other channels, I don't get any of the local sports channels.

Check slickdeals.net, usually a good deal on vpns. If you have league pass some smart tvs have an app, otherwise apple tv, roku, amazon fire tv, etc. have the NBA app.

Thought about and looked into VPNs but it was just too much hassle/work for me, plus I don't think that works on the NBA apps on roku/apple TV?

When I needed VPN, I set it up on my router, so all traffic went through the vpn.

I feel your pain. I used to live in Central Texas (Round Rock) and I had the same exact problem.

This was over 10 years ago and there are more online solutions these days; but I personally never got valid explanation - if you complain enough you'll get someone to acknowledge that it makes no sense and they'll give you a credit on your bill for those games; but that's about it.
