Lester Hudson Got Rotted

Agreed. I think much of the though behind signing Lucas was that he was one of few veteran PGs that the FO knew first-hand-- and they knew that if Burke emerged as a legitimate starter over the course of the season, Lucas would gladly take a bench-role. His three-point shooting (a point of emphasis for Dennis Lindsey) was probably somewhat of an influence as well.

And Lucas is shooting so well from everywhere right now.

There were likely better 3pt shooters on the market than Lucas III...

I think Lucas having an NBA family and great personality led DL to sign him more than anything else, which would be a good influence on Burke, plus the fact that he's a bad backup PG forcing Corbin's hand.

Where did Jerel McNeal end up? It seemed his waiving timing was a tad odd. He had been working out with the lads during the summer and went with Enes to the California strenght and conditioning place.

He was offered a contract with a Chinese team and Utah released him to go pursue that.

Here's where the front office had relations with the pooch. If Trey hadn't got hurt, Tinsley wouldn't have been here. However Trey was hurt and suddenly some camp bodies in Lester and Scotty got to go the rigors of camp and Tinsely got to show up and then play. The signing of Lucas was strange when they did it and I think you got an out of shape Tinsley that was handed money. I think if your guards have been Trey, Lester and Scottie (No Lucas here) everyone would have known their pecking order and perhaps a win or two might have been eeked out in the first eight games. I think the front office effed up here in the way they handled the point guard situation.
