Let' cut ties with Quinn and hire George Karl

I'd love to be a fly on the wall during those discussions.

Right? Seesm to me like Quin is fostering a system of honesty and accountability. If you do good it is pointed out and if you do bad you are called onto the carpet so to speak. Wonder if good defensive players like Gobert and Exum are starting to speak up.

I never thought that the purpose of a crappy bench was so we could tank, I believe it was to keep the coach from having the option of playing them ahead of our core. I don't think DL signed Richard Jefferson and Marvin Williams with the intent of having Corbin play them ahead of Kanter and Burks, but that is what happened and it screwed with our rebuild. So, DL made sure that it would not happen again.
In terms of total minutes, not really. Burks averaged 28 mins/per and Enes 27. If you believe the current starting 5 would have been further ahead had they started and played as many minutes as possible TOGETHER last season, then yes.

All teams need 8-9 in a rotation. The GS trade only gave Utah one serviceable player, although Rush also got some spot minutes. Ty was going to have to play the young guys a lot, whether starting or off the bench. And that means losing...and a lot of it. Even at the end of the season, there was some debate as to whether or not to keep Marvin. So I really have no problem with the minutes Ty gave everyone. And DL did his part by NOT signing low or mid-tier vets. The difference in the bench this season is mainly due to having a high draft pick to replace Garrett. We essentially have "vets" in Booker, who has replaced marvin and Ingles to partially replace RJ (the rest of the minutes going to Hood). I know, technically Ingles is a rookie, but he has tons of int'l/Euro ball experience. And he's the second-oldest player on the team, IINM. Also, DL traded for Novak. He must have had ZERO fear Snyder would overuse him.
