Let's Fess Up, Who Said Which Dallas Player Sucked?

Dirk was the MVP for the best team, so we should hate him for some observation of his physical appearance?

When in conversation about Dirk, I don't know how many times I've heard someone say "Yeah he's good, but he's ugly..."

... and your point being? that you have to be attractive to be good at basketball??

No, that was what laker slapper was implying, not me.

I think Dirk looks fine, not that I care much one way or the other.

When I think of Dirk I wonder how the hell they didn't build a dynasty with Nash and Finley.

Guess Shawn Bradley and Erick Dampier weren't the answers at the C spot...

Or it could be that the 4 years they played together as full-time starters (00/01-03/04) coincided with the Shaq/Kobe Lakers, Duncan/Robinson or Parker Spurs and the Webber/Stojakovic/Bibby Kings. Those Mavs teams were victims of bad timing.

Deshawn held his own admirably against Lebron in the finals. the guy many think is the best player in the league. I haven't seen a lot of DS's interviews, but the little I have seen of him has not offended me at all. If i was going to talk about offensive arrogance, there are a lot of names that would come to mind before his. I'd probably start with guys like Wade and Lebron, so I think you are on the wrong side of this issue too.

These are playoff stats for DeShawn. 35% shooting from the field is not quite what I would call holding it down for you team, especially during the playoffs. OK, so he did shoot 40% from 3. But he also averaged 3 points a game during the playoffs. I think if a guy is playing a limited 16 minutes a game he should do more than shoot 35% (2 misses every 3 shots he attempts) and grab almost 1 rebound per game. You want to beat your chest for a guy that does that??? POUND AWAY KING KONG!!

Dumbass Jazz fans. 15 years of me explaining to them that 40% from 3 is fantastic, they still can't do 3rd grade math.

Those are some strange playoff stats. DeShawn somehow managed to shoot 40% on his 3's, but only 35% overall. That means he barely hit any shots once inside the arc. And he did play some decent defense. Coming off succesive years of 31%/27% and 28%/22%, Stevenson was lucky to even find a job last season. Kudos for stepping up in the playoffs. He may be out of a job, though, due to his off-court behavior.
