I'd prefer to see some of the union institutions pulling everyone else up again but I also see how modern laws have replaced them. Well, not laws as much as lawsuits. The safety concerns of previous generations are pretty much non-existent today. For work I travel through a wide swath of some of the most dangerous industries in the state and I've never felt unsafe. If anything, I think the safety precautions are sometimes over-the-top to the point of obnoxiousness.
