Life - official thread

I'd honestly love to just be an apprentice for a really good contractor for a couple summers. I'd work for free just to learn.

Even if we could get it to work logistically, there's no chance my wife would let me leave her and the kids for two months at a time.

Dude. Bring them. I'll even pay you. When do you want to start? I need a guy like two weeks ago.

Ribs for the Super Bowl

Let's try this from the phone. Ugh.

Smoker set up.

Good for about a 4 to 5 hour cook at about 220. Wood spaces out to provide smoke at the outset and about an hour in. Using Apple wood here.

Using rib racks for this one. 5 racks of St Louis style ribs. The king of ribs imo.

After 5 1/2 hours. Just pulls right off the bone.

That crusty exterior is the bark. The best part. Overtones of bacon there. Great without my homemade sauce. Even better with it.

All cut up ready to eat. The thin pink line at the edge of the meat is the smoke ring. Done right this is about 1/8 inch into the meat. These were about perfect.
