Life - official thread

Going out in a few minutes to the site I suspect may be a completely unknown Spanish mission site (near Silver Reef. Going to fly the thermal imaging camera on the drone to detect outer walls/foundation.
That in itself of course doesn't prove a mission site, but would warrant further investigation.

There are Jesuit church symbols carved into boulders in the location.

This may be the coolest post ever on this site...and nothing.

How did it go? Did you find anything?

When you go on these expeditions on these sites, are they public or private land? How do you get access?

I found a Clovis point (rare as ****), antlers with carvings, and a sandal.
Of course just left them where I found them..

Also found an entire unexplored Anasazi village. Super cool.

Going out again tomorrow. Less Indian more Spanish treasure.

Sounds like you're having a great time and I'm happy for you.

Super cynical tooth fairy killing spoiler below
You found a Clovis point that would date to more than 10,000 years old, a previously undiscovered Spanish mission from the 16 to 18 hundreds, and an Anasazi Village from around 500 AD? You found all that on a weekend expedition in your backyard? I mean you do know Santa Claus isn't real right?

I used to spend a lot of time in the desert hiking. I've found only three half arrowheads, and one pottery shard.
