What's new

Lindsey is a far more wasteful GM than ppl want to admit. It's time for a change.

The Rodney Hood situation was completely butchered too. Thats a case-study in sunk cost... There's just so much waste, IDK how a small-market team like Utah could even be shocked with the lacklustre play this year. the team is underequipped and it's a bunch of old guys in suits fault.

I don't actually buy that many common fans root for their teams, I believe a considerable % of them they root for themselves, they root for their feelings, and don't wanna admit it. Surely this site got plenty of people who advocate for the team to cut off its nose to spite its face..

People dont buy tickets to see the team play, they buy tickets to see the team win.... It's an old saying... Thats how it is...

those fans buying tickets are mostly just trying to exchange their $$$ for instant-gratification.

and when the teams lose, thats when the true colors behin to fly, people act like their entitled to be jerks if they lose as a method to extract value for their dollars spent..

I agree with Kevin Durants comments about the fan he got fined over

"What kind of grown man comes to a game to heckle another grown man?"

This is why I don't buy any memorbelia, i'm not financially invested. Marketing is one of the many chefs that spoiled Utahs stew.

Call me a jerk, whatever, just don't call me fooled, cuz I never was. Growing up a Knicks fan I observed pretty much all forms of self-sabotage, I can spot this **** quicker than most.

what sucks is that the team looked good last year towards the end they looked like a good team. I have to say it was fools gold, rubio was hitting shots he never hits, he reverted to the absolute mean and we are back to that same atrocious start as last season. I can't really blame DL too much for that because he was damned if he made any changes and damned it he didn't.

also I for one thougbt haywart was extremely overated. I think we should have moved him in 2014 and maybe 2015 while stock was high. Hayward was over hyped to the extreme. I'm just disapointed we still have rubio and somehow thought exum was going to turn a corner.

The roster is weak, you have players who have are good in 1 aspect of the game but have 2-3 huge defects.

rubio: can't shoot. 3rd worst fg% in the NBA.
exum: absolutely terrible offensive player. Gives us nothing but layups and even then he bricks.
gobert: great defense, but this year has looked very average on defense, but also he has 0 offensive moves outside of putbacks or perfectly setup dunks.
favors: an ancient relic in this league.
oneal: hot steaming garbage. just a bad player.
mitchell: our only player who can create
ingles: smart player, streaky, helps the jazz win, but sometimes looks absolute trash, but he's best coming off the bench imo.
crowder: streaky 3 point shooter who can't rebound for the life of him.
burks: Negative IQ player.
neto: trash
niang: who the **** cares

the fact we got to the 2nd round in the playoffs was partly because rubio but also the west had quite a few teams tanking and we got lucky when denver, wolves, spurs, gsw, and other teams had key injuries down the stretch. Can rubio get hot again? i think he used up all his magic dust.

what do you think about our 2 headed monster PG play? rubio and exum?

DL didn't have a great year, but did no long term damage. The best move for him was the no move on Ricky Rubio's contract. Everyone here was was talking a 15-20m a year extension for 3-4 years based on how he closed out the season. DL wasn't sold on him yet. Or maybe Rubio wanted more, and DL just got incredibly lucky. There is no long term damaging contracts at all.
Yeah, I was on the extend Rubio train but I'm glad that didnt happen.

This next off-season is the DL's time. That's when I think judgments will be warranted.

Of course it was fools gold. Fact was that the strength of the team was the team.

Teams can win that way but not for long. You need great talent to keep winning, and plenty of it. We don't have that now and we don't have it last year.

Sure was a blast to witness though.

snyder should be given a medal for making filet mingon out of ingredient that gets you pancakes.

btw man you keep saying how great the kings GM is but totally left out the fact he traded his 1st round pick for a bag of chips. Boston totally fleeced em. They better hope to remain hot this year or you'll see a lot of angry kings fans.
