I liked Byombo. I was wrong. I was thinking maybe he would fit better with the Jazz. I once also thought Okafor was a better pick than Howard and that Oden was better than Durant. Guess internet scouting isn't as good as we believe.
 
Rule #1 - don't get caught up in a player nobody wanted.

Bismack played for crappy Euro teams. Kanter was recruited by Calipari.

Ill admit I didnt know what to think about Kanter. I wasn't against picking him though. It was one of those you just leave up to the people who can get a closer look. I never wanted Byiombo though. That had bust written all over it. Nor did I want Brandon Knight. I thought his shot was funny looking and his movements a little weird. I did like Derrick Williams though. Oof.

I still like Biyombo. And Kanter still hadn't played nearly any real basketball in nearly two seasons and it's still a gamble to think that that would have no impact on longterm development.

I've never said Kanter wouldn't get there and I've never said he wasn't talented. But if you guys want to get hung up on posts put in a vacuum, go nuts.
 
I think this thread just proves that no matter how big of a dick head you are when making your point, it doesn't mean you are right.

*Good Euro teams at the highest level of competition outside of the NBA.
 
I also never said Biyombo would be a force offensively, either. Those workouts were terrible, if for no other reason than the idea that it would do him any favors as that was not his skill.
 
i was all over derrick williams.. just shows how hard it is to judge talent for what they will be in a situation that theyve never been in before
