What's new

Locker room clean out day the 2014 edition

What a Nancy. If he can't play center, cut him loose and we'll let Gobert play alongside Kanter. Jazz need a C, if Favors is going to be a ***** about it we don't need him.

I thought he was always working out in Santa Barbara. Man I hope he isn't going to get lazy now that he has the new contract. I think eventually either Favors or Kanter are going to leave because both are PFs and don't want to play center.

To be honest I am loving what I am hearing. Can see some fire in Kanter, Hayward, Burks and Favors. Burke has been firey all season with his tweets and jabs at the pro tanking crowd.

Good boys. Be pissed about this year, be mad. Feed it all summer long. Hit the weights and court with those thoughts and images in your head. Use that to fuel you to get better and tighter as a group. Come back next year in shape, improved, hungry and with a chip on your shoulder. Time to put some attitude back into the Jazz and the arena.

Now the real work begins.

GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps if the price is right and he's willing and able to back up the 3 and 4. For what he offers, I just think the Jazz can draft that player at #23 who will have more upside and be considerably CHEAPER. Jazz need a real impact FA for $8-9M (like Atlanta got with Millsap), then backfill with their picks and vets near the minimum.

Kanter-Draft Pick-Evans
Favors-Gobert
Free Agent-Draft Pick (in some order)
Hayward-Burks
Burke-Neto-Garrett

That's 12 players, not counting Utah's 2nd round pick or guys like Murphy, Thomas, Clark, etc.

I won't argue the order here, as obviously Burks could start at the 2, with Hayward at the 3. And Kanter may or may not come off the bench. Some of that also depends on the pick: get Parker or Wiggins and maybe they start. Guys like Embiid or Aaron Gordon would likely come off the bench initially. Or Smart could replace Neto or Garrett. In any case, I think Lindsey will look to bring in a major asset either as a FA or via trade. He knows we don't just need aging vets to fill holes. Have to get a core 8; the remaining 6-7 are not that difficult to fill in after that.

I don't want any vets until we see what we get in the draft. I am going to scream if we draft Wiggins, Parker, Embiid or etc. and see them sit behind some player who is a year or two away from being out of the league. You want to build this team for the long haul and having as many young players playing is the only way to get better and have better chemistry.

Great, so we have delusional PF who does not wasn't to play center but dreams about having 25-15 averages. Out of curiosity when anybody last time averaged it?

The last one who averaged these kind of numbers was Mr. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975-76.

If he just give us 20/10 that would be enough and we would have our franchise player

Wonder what he meant by cemistry issues.

I don't think it is necessarily that they don't like each other but it might have more due to with not playing with each other. It takes time to build chemistry and is difficult when the Core5 rarely played together.

Kanter: They say we are rebuilding - we are not winning a championship, so why not play the young guys?

WHAT? An NBA player thinking he should have received more minutes. There isn't a player in the league who doesn't think he got enough minutes.

Dennis Lindsey on Gordon Hayward: "I think he needs to have more fun." Something was wrong with Gordon all year long.

DL saying some nice ****!

"Derrick has to get outside of himself and get uncomfortable when taking leadership defensively from a communication stand point"

"told Gordon to learn how to have fun out there again. He has some great things going for him."

two huge points that were discussed around here. DL is growing on me again!

Why where you down on him? I think DL has had an excellent off season, draft and season this year. I look forward to what he does this year.

I like the DL talk, but it is just talk at this point.

He knows he can use Corbin as a scapegoat for everything that went wrong this season and he is going to use that to create optimism. I assume he didn't have much control over Corbin's rotations, but let's not forget that DL is the guy who failed to trade Marvin or Jefferson to force freed time for Kanter/Burks.

"Failed", you don't know what the trades were. I'd rather have not traded Marvin then get a terrible contract back and who knows, maybe corbin would have played the traded guy over the young guys still.
