Locker room clean out day the 2014 edition

Favors. Challenged by the coaches to be in better shape and work on offense in off season.

He will work out more in salt lake this summer with the coaches and strength and conditioning coach. Will go to Santa Barbara.

Doesn't like playing center, it everyone is taller him, and heavier. Prefers to play pf.

Team can be better next season if they get better chemistry and commit to follow defense schemes.

Hayward says he'll tell FO in exit interview that our pace of play needs to increase to utilize our athleticism.

I've been saying this. Kanter and afavors CAN run, they just need to be told to. Burke is a halfcourt PG (in college), but he doesn't have to stay that way. Neto can run if Burke can't or won't. RJ couldn't really anymore, but he'll be gone. A. Gordon and Wiggins are perfect at SF for running, Parker is not.

You don't think Parker is good at running the floor or you've seen it with your own eyes? For the record, I disagree. While the dude isn't a freak athlete, some of you are going WAY too far in thinking and saying he's an oaf.

What a Nancy. If he can't play center, cut him loose and we'll let Gobert play alongside Kanter. Jazz need a C, if Favors is going to be a ***** about it we don't need him.

I'd be OK with Williams coming back in a bench role.

Perhaps if the price is right and he's willing and able to back up the 3 and 4. For what he offers, I just think the Jazz can draft that player at #23 who will have more upside and be considerably CHEAPER. Jazz need a real impact FA for $8-9M (like Atlanta got with Millsap), then backfill with their picks and vets near the minimum.

Kanter-Draft Pick-Evans
Favors-Gobert
Free Agent-Draft Pick (in some order)
Hayward-Burks
Burke-Neto-Garrett

That's 12 players, not counting Utah's 2nd round pick or guys like Murphy, Thomas, Clark, etc.

I won't argue the order here, as obviously Burks could start at the 2, with Hayward at the 3. And Kanter may or may not come off the bench. Some of that also depends on the pick: get Parker or Wiggins and maybe they start. Guys like Embiid or Aaron Gordon would likely come off the bench initially. Or Smart could replace Neto or Garrett. In any case, I think Lindsey will look to bring in a major asset either as a FA or via trade. He knows we don't just need aging vets to fill holes. Have to get a core 8; the remaining 6-7 are not that difficult to fill in after that.

If this is right, he's pretty much your averaged sized C. A little shorter, but heavier.

Gobert sounds like Andre the giant.

He works a lot with Alex Jensen, and mark Mckeon. Gobert feels stronger says he will get stronger.

Talked about the ft shooting when they intentionally fouled him.

Gobert- Learned a lot, "wish I could have played more", said that 3 times. Hard to play professionally in France and then come to the NBA and be a rookie. Worked everyday with Alex Jensen on his shot. Going to work mainly on strengthening the legs and core, but especially the legs.

Alec Burks. I'm a killer, a killer on both sides.

I'm tired and banged up.

Everything will work out with his contract. He learned from Derrick, he learned from G.

Burks- "I'm a killer on both sides" this league it's kill or be killed. Tired, played a lot of minutes. Going work on being in better shape for next season. Contract talks, "It will all work itself out"

Aaron Falk @tribjazz
Derrick Favors on whether 20-10 is his goal: "20-10? 25-15."

Tony Jones @Tjonessltrib
Favors said he hopes and feels Gordon Hayward will be back with the jazz next season

Sounds like Burks has some fire even though he's tired and beat up, really good to hear. I'm glad to hear that Gobert wanteed to play more and is focused on strength. I'm excited for what he has to offer

Garret- Had an OKC back pack on he forgot was in his locker. hardest thing was trying to get in a position where a team would need you. easiest thing was knowing what he could bring. Feels like he has a lot more that he can do. Said his dad told him he needed to keep his 3 pt% over 40. Asked why they were so slow in pace of play, said our post players like to slow it down a little bit.

Diante Garrett found his OKC back pack today in the bottom of his locker, it has been their since he got to the jazz.

He has learned to play within his role. He is still hungry has more to prove, will work hard this summer.

There were times when he got tired.

Why did they play slow? Diantee- I don't think we played slow, but I guess numbers don't lie. We have bigs guys who can work in the post so we needed to work to get them the ball.
