Also the Jazz underachieving year after year relative to expectations due to injuries has depreciated all their assets in a very unfortunate way.
Maybe... the issue is we are trying to trade like for like. Hey I'll trade you a good player now for a different kind of good player. Like trying to do a car swap... except we are trading older SUVs and trying to get an electric car that everyone is after. Its much easier to just trade the car for cash and get appropriate value. Also the Jazz underachieving year after year relative to expectations due to injuries has depreciated all their assets in a very unfortunate way.

I think its just we are trying to trade vet for vet and get an upgrade. Trades just don't work that way.The main reason we don't have value is because their contracts are bad value:
Conley overpaid
Royce overpaid
Gay overpaid
Gobert overpaid
Bojan expiring
We only have one player who has lost any value due to injuries and that's Conley. But if he was paid correctly, injuries wouldn't be an issue.

You are an asbolute clown if you dont think that injuries, which have been the main contributor to the Jazz losing series, hasnt resulted in the Jazz assets value being lowered. The main reason we don't have value is because their contracts are bad value:

Couldn't have said it better.<...> I think any Jazz fan that’s 100% honest with themselves thinks the same thing. I love Don and I love Rudy, but I just can’t picture any scenario in which we choose one or the other and go on to compete for a title. <...>
Injuries hurt our chances to win series in 2020 and 2021.You are an asbolute clown if you dont think that injuries, which have been the main contributor to the Jazz losing series, hasnt resulted in the Jazz assets value being lowered.
I'm not saying the specific injuries to the specific players caused the value to lower, it's the injuries that caused the Jazz to lose series, which prevented them going further in the playoffs, which results in lower of value. Dont be a fool.
Indeed. And have made other decisions that made it clear that getting out of the luxury tax was not the priority. We have clearly made decisions financially motivated but not shied from the tax. I am not sure we will at this point either but it wouldn't surprise me.We traded our 2024 1st to dump Favors and our 2021 1st to save money.
